Because of this, our chosen shippers are Parcelforce (for orders over 2kg) and Royal Mail (under 2kg).

Downpour Coast and Croft Gin – 5cl

From the wild Atlantic shoreline to the fragrant croftland of North Uist, Downpour Coast and Croft Gin captures two distinctive sides of the Outer Hebrides in one wonderfully characterful Scottish gin.

Created by North Uist Distillery, this bold coastal gin combines pepper dulse seaweed from the shore with wild thyme gathered from the island's croftland. The result is a beautifully balanced spirit that brings together fresh citrus, classic juniper and aromatic herbs, followed by a wonderfully distinctive maritime finish.

It's a gin with a genuine sense of place. The pepper dulse introduces a subtle savoury character reminiscent of the sea, while wild thyme lends a fragrant, herbal freshness. Together, they create something a little different from the traditional Scottish dry gin.

What does Downpour Coast and Croft Gin taste like?

On the nose: Bright and vibrant, with fresh citrus and aromatic juniper.
On the palate: Classic juniper and lively citrus, complemented by fragrant wild thyme and gentle coastal notes.
The finish: Distinctively savoury and maritime, with a lingering hint of the sea.

The perfect serve

For a refreshing Hebridean gin and tonic, pour Downpour Coast and Croft over plenty of ice and add a splash of good-quality tonic water.

Garnish with a sprig of fresh thyme or rosemary to complement the gin's herbal character, or add a wedge of citrus for a brighter, zesty finish.
